When character and courage leave the room

In business and in life we often talk about leadership.

Here is the thing, we can talk as long as we want about leadership  but there are two things we all admire.

It does not matter whether it’s your neighbors or your co-workers; trust is built on two things – character and courage

Nobody wants to know someone who does not stand by them or talks behind their back or simply stands down when they are being torn apart by someone else.

No one wants neighbors who say they want to be neighborly and then serve you with papers over cocktails.

Leadership character and courage share the same room.

As John Lennon said

Being honest may not get you a lot of friends but it will always get you the right ones.

  1. I agree with you 100% Peter. We must walk the talk and be true to our word and what we proclaim to be. Love the quote!

  2. Peter, I sincerely admire your bringing forth these characteristics that make up “Leadership.” However, without sounding to Pessimistic, the chances of finding this type of person in our World today is like winning the “lotto.” From politicians to professionals character and courage are two attributes taking the way of the dinosaurs! Fraud, corruption, kick backs, dishonest sales tactics, and yes even HR reps that are more focused on the company that pays their salary than the employee that has come to them for help is now the “norm” of the day! Thirty five years plus of working for Big Business has either jaded my perception or brought everything into focus!

I've decided to pursue my passion in jewellery designs since I love femininity and all things beautiful and sparkly, well almost all. I'm a proud mother to two gorgeous and amazing girls. I recently left the corporate world, went through a tragic loss and relationship breakdown yet I'm here alive and still very much wanting to pursue my dreams and maintain a state of happiness. This site opens up a new world for me to share and if I'm really privileged connect with with others.
